The Social Democratic Party of Switzerland (SP), the Green Party, Solidarité Party, Medico international Schweiz, Solifonds, DEM-KURD and Kurdish Women's Movement in Switzerland are organising a demonstration in the city of Bern tomorrow [March 25, Saturday] to protest Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan's regime.
In the scope of the demonstration which is also supported by dozens of organisations from Switzerland and Turkey, masses from Switzerland, Kurdistan and Turkey will take to the streets to protest Erdoğan's fascism and urge the Turkish state to return to negotiations with the Kurds and to abide by international laws.
"WE MUST STOP THE ERDOĞAN REGIME"
The demonstration will be held with the motto "We must act to stop the ever-growing authoritarian, racist, fascist, gendered regime of Erdoğan". Protestors will highlight their demands for Turkey which include the building of a democratic system, release of political prisoners, building of peace in North Kurdistan and protection of women's rights.
A large number of people including Swiss politicians and deputies are expected to join the demonstration which is held at a time when Turkey's ruling AKP is receiving strong criticism from Europe and having its referendum campaigns cancelled across Europe. Participants of the protest will call attention to the increasing right violations in Turkey and call on the peoples in Turkey to vote 'NO' in the referendum of April 16.
The demonstration will be held in the city of Bern, at Place de Fédérale and between 14. 00- 16.00.
