Syrian regime bombs Kurdish village in Efrin

The village of Ziyaret in the town of Şerawa in Efrin, West Kurdistan, has been bombed by warplanes of the armed forces of the Ba'ath regime in Syria on Wednesday.

At least three villagers, Abdo Köse (62), Muhammed Şaban Oso (22) and Enver Yusuf (33), were reported killed in the bombing which was followed by mortar and cannon attacks. The village suffered great damage as a result of the attacks which are reported to be continuing.

A nine-year-old child had been killed and nine other people wounded in an earlier attack by the military of the Ba'ath regime targeting the Kurdish villages of Ziyaret and Mezin in the same region on April 22. The two villages are located near the regime-ruled villages of Nible and Zehra.
