Kurdistan Freedom Falcons (Teyrêbazên Azadiya Kurdistan;TAK) has claimed responsibility for the action conducted in İstanbul's Yenibosna district at around 16:00 on October 6.

TAK said the action was a retaliation against the October 9 plot against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the repression and atrocity executed against the people of Kurdistan.

TAK stressed that their militants were defenders of the Kurdish leader and Kurdistan people and were capable of carrying out actions anywhere in Turkey.

Reiterating their previous remark that “Turkey is not a safe country”, TAK said their actions will continue in a more comprehensive manner and target all the individuals and institutions-establishments that support the Turkish state's war against Kurds as long as the repression of the Turkish state and AKP government continues.
