Temelli: We can wake up to a new beginning on 25 June

HDP co-chair said that the elections can be won together

HDP co-chair, Sezai Temelli, was in  Eskişehir on Tuesday where he spoke at the meeting organised to present the local candidates.

"This people, our people - he said - has never bowed to tyranny. The honorable struggle of the Kurdish people together with women struggle, laborers struggle, workers and youth struggle, the struggle of the peoples of Turkey will break the threshold and open the door to democracy".

Temelli recalled that on Tuesday was the "the anniversary of the massacre in Corum. We lived through many massacres. Our pains are common. We have to face these sorrows. It has been 5 years since the Gezi protest. We have never forgotten the lives we lost during the Gezi park protest. We haven't forgotten Ethem, Ali, Berkin, Medeni" ...

In his emotional speech, the HDP co-chair insisted: "Those who said that the Kobanê would fall, were silenced by the resistance of those young people who lost their life defending their city. Our sorrows are common. We will transform this lands from being lands of  massacres to be lands of co-existence".

Temelli added: "We shall confront those who inflicted these pains on us. Not to take revenge, but to say let us live again. They say to me. When they ask me if I was in Gezi, I answer: I was there from the day it started to the day it ended".

Temelli went on saying: "Our differences are our wealth, they give us strength. We can establish a democratic republic  where everyone can live together no matter their ethnicity, no matter their faith. We said that if there is a solution to this country, this is peace. A peace - said Temelli - built by the peoples".

The HDP co-chair concluded his speech by reminding that "together we can break the threshold. We will end this dirty game, played by the AKP for 16 long years. We will not give Erdogan all power. Do we want this nightmare to continue? - he asked -  I think we can wake up in the morning of 25 June with a new beginning. Together we can make it".

Temelli also underlined that "they have imprisoned our presidential candidate, Selahattin Demirtas, and they want to keep him in jail. But they cannot put our ideas behind bars. Demirtas is the people's voice. He is our voice, no matter where he finds himself".
