Ten people were taken into custody following the commemoration of murdered Armenian journalist Hrant Dink in Istanbul on Thursday.
Police attacked a group of people who stoned and broke the windows of a bank office.
In a separate development the Bulanýk District of Muþ, four detainees, including Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Erentepe Branch Chair Aydýn Kaya, were remanded in custody. They were sent to the Muþ E Type Closed Prison by the order of Bulanýk Criminal Court of First Instance.
In Istanbul, Peace Mother 63-year-old Sakine Güven was arrested and accused of being a member of an illegal organization.
Sakine Güven was sent to Bakýrköy Women Prison as the High Court’ verdict is the final stage of Turkish judicial system.
Meanwhile, Kurdish people in the Esendere town of the Yüksekova District in Hakkari held a protest demonstration to condemn the arrest of Esendere Mayor Hurþit Altekin.
