Ten children taken into custody
Twelve people, including ten children, have been taken into custody in Ýdil (Hezex) district of Þýrnak today. Arrests came after the house raids carried out by special operation teams at around 02.30 this morning.
Gafur Kök (19), Servet Öner (19), F.M. (16), Þ.K. (16), H.M. (16), M.E. (14), M.H.A. (16), A.B. (15), M.Y. (16), V.Ý. (17), G.G. (14) and one unnamed were taken to Þýrnak Security Directorate on the grounds of joining demonstrations at different dates.
Servet Öner's mother Þirin Öner reacted to the arrests, remarking that children were afraid and depressed because of the raids performed by special teams at midnights. Mother Öner added; “Dozens of special team members raided my house. They had a photo in their hand but it wasn’t my son whom they were looking for. What does the Turkish state want from our innocent children?”
