Ten more of the young people arrested in the Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı province have been formally arrested, bringing the number of those in prison to 14.

Ten of 19 young people who went to protest at a house being used for prostitution in the district of Doğubayazıt in Ağrı province have been  remanded in custody by a court and sent to Ağrı prison on charges of ‘membership of an organisation’.

Abdullah Özcan, Mehmet Emin Gök, Yılmaz Oktay, Halil Özbey, Emrah Kandemir, Mustafa Çelik, Osman Turan, Sinan Turan, Yusuf Tanrıkulu and Bedirhan İper were formally arrested after procedures at the prosecutor’s office were completed.

On the previous day 4 of 9 other youths who were arrested were remanded in custody while 5 were conditionally released.
