Ten people taken into custody in Urfa -FLASH

Ten people have been taken into custody today in Halfeti district of Urfa as a result of police attack on the protest act against 15 February conspiracy.

The protest act in front of BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) was also joined by PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s sister Fatma and brother Mehmet Öcalan.

Despite the attack of police teams of the AKP regime, the demonstration continued with a press statement which voiced people’s demand for freedom for Öcalan.

10 people who were taken into custody after the press statement will reportedly be referred to court on charges of “spreading propaganda for a terror organization” and “praising crime and criminals”.
