The children of war and resistance

Children from Kobanê whose fathers, mothers, elder sisters and brothers are fighting on the resistance fronts against the ISIS gangs, are maintaining the resistance vigil at the border of Kobanê in Suruç and are not leaving the border.

The same children do not stop playing games despite the anti-aircraft rounds and mortar shells falling around them. They have created play areas for themselves in the middle of the war, and are supporting the YPG by shouting the slogan “long live the resistance of Kobanê, long live president Apo, long live the YPG-YPJ” when the clashes intensify on the other side of the border.

It is striking that the children growing up in the resistance are playing games that tell of the resistance of the YPG and YPJ and the massacres carried out by the ISIS gangs. Some children are also helping in the reconstruction of houses which were destroyed by the ISIS gangs. The houses are being repaired for the people coming from Kobanê.
