Tunceli Governor's Office has banned actions and activities in Dersim for 15 days, citing as a reason the coronavirus pandemic.

The governor's statement said: "The covid-19 epidemic was declared a 'pandemic' by the World Health Organization. Given the increase in the number of cases throughout our province, to manage the risk in terms of public health and public order, to ensure social isolation, to maintain physical distance, to protect fundamental rights and freedoms, within the boundaries of Tunceli Province, the Governor's Office has decided that all kinds of press releases that will enable people to come together collectively are subject to the permission of the local authority for 15 days." The ban will begin today and will end on 13 October.
