The rally organized by the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) in Bakırköy has begun with great enthusiasm.

Police set up barriers at many points making it difficult for the crowd to reach the rally area. However thousands joined the rally filling the area even before the meeting began.

Police did not allow people to put up red, green and yellow (the colours of Kurdistan) pushis (Kufiyas) on.

Thousands of HDP flags are flying in the area and the people shout slogans and chants, like "Jin jiyan azadi", "President Demirtaş", "We will win".
