Thousands of people continue to protest the isolation of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan across Europe.

Thousands of people protested the isolation of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan across Europe.
COPENHAGEN
Kurdish youth organized 3 different demonstrations against the isolation of Öcalan in Copenhagen, Denmark. Young people occupied the historical Rundetårn tower and displayed banners saying "Freedom For Öcalan, Free Kurdistan" and distributed pamphlets. Another group displayed posters saying "Free Kurdistan, Freedom For Öcalan" and "Remove PKK from the terror lists" on a boat, and ended their protest at a nearby bridge. The protestors stated that the PKK, seen as a freedom movement by millions of Kurds, has been on the EU and US terror lists because of geopolitical reasons, and the protests would continue until the PKK is removed from such lists.
HANNOVER
Led by NAV-DEM, hundreds of Kurds and their allies protested the isolation of Öcalan in Hannover, Germany. Protestors met in front of the central train station and marched as they distributed pamphlets. The march ended with a rally where the representatives of the German Left Party, MLPD and NAV-DEM addressed the crowd and called for an immediate end to the isolation of Öcalan. Speakers also condemned the Turkish army’s occupation of Jarablus and described it as an attack on the gains of Kurdish people in the region.
MONTPELLIER
Led by the Democratic Kurdish Society Center (DKSC), people of Kurdish and their allies gathered in Comédie Square in Montpellier, France to protest the isolation of Öcalan. DKSC co-president Cevat Güneş spoke during the demonstrations, condemned Antep massacre and Turkey’s occupation of Rojava, and emphasized that their protests would continue until the end of the isolation of Öcalan.
GÖTEBORG
Led by the Democratic Kurdish Society Center (DKSC) and Rojava Committee, Kurdish people and their allies gathered in Milleniumplatzen Square in Göteborg, Sweden. The protestors held a march and a rally for condemning the isolation of Öcalan and Turkey’s occupation of Rojava soil. DKSC representative Abdullah Deveci spoke duing the rally and called upon everyone to show solidarity with Kurdish people and object to Öcalan’s isolation as well as the Turkish state’s occupation of Jarablus and Rojava.
MARSEILLE
Kurds and their allies came together in Canebierre Square, Marseille, France to protest the isolation of Öcalan’s isolation and held a rally here. The protest is scheduled to continue in front of the governorate building for the next week.
