Thousands of people gathered in Batman to protest against the isolation of Kurdish leader Abudullah Öcalan and the wave of arrests against Kurdish politicians known as KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) operation.

Peace and Democracy Party (BDP), Democratic Society Congress (DTK) and many NGOs and trade unions joined the mass meeting which took place on Wednesday.

BDP and DTK Co-Chair addressed the crowd at the meeting and condemned the oppressions on Kurdish people.

The speakers at the meeting also appealed to all socialist and left people of Turkey to support and walk together with Kurdish people.

In addition, BDP Suruç Branch in Urfa held a protest demonstration.

There will be two more meetings in Kýzýltepe and Nusaybin, districts of Mardin, to ask respect Kurdish people’s will and lift the isolation of Öcalan.
