Three activists murdered by the regime commemorated in Eastern Kurdistan

Despite all the repression by the Iranian regime, protests again took place in Bokan and Mahabad in Eastern Kurdistan at memorial services for three activists murdered by the regime.

Three and a half months after the murder of Jina Mahsa Amini by the morality police in Tehran, protests against the Iranian regime continue. Eastern Kurdistan (Rojhilat) in particular remains a focus of resistance. 40 days after the assassination of Shahriar Mohammadi by regime forces, his memory became a sign of protest. Relatives let doves fly and demanded freedom.

Shahriar Mohammadi was not the only one murdered by the regime 40 days earlier in Bokan. People also gathered to protest at the grave of Milad Marufi. Marufi's mother said, "My son is a martyr for freedom, for Kurdistan, that's why I walk upright."

The murdered activist Ghafour Moludi was also remembered in Bokan. Many people came to his grave chanting "Martyrs are immortal."

A memorial service was also held in Mahabad. In the village of Qalûzndan near Mahabad, activist Mehran Rahmani, who was murdered 40 days ago, was remembered. Many people sang Kurdish revolutionary songs at his grave and set a sign for a revolution against the Mullah regime.

THREE MORE PROTESTERS MURDERED

Hundreds of protesters have been murdered in the past three months. The regime is also targeting people outside protests. According to the Kurdistan Human Rights Network, Kurdish civilian Ferşad Ibrahimi was shot dead by regime troops near the eastern Kurdish town of Kamyaran on 24 December when they opened fire on his vehicle at a checkpoint.

In a similar incident in Qazvin province, 17-year-old Mehrdad Malek was reportedly shot dead by police in a car on 26 December.

19-YEAR-OLD DISAPPEARED AFTER BEING ABDUCTED BY REGIME TROOPS

19-year-old Mahsa Qurbanî was abducted by regime troops last week in Sine (Sanandaj) in Eastern Kurdistan. There is no sign of life from her. Her relatives fear she has been murdered.

REPORTING DIFFICULT

Due to the Iranian regime's blockade of the internet, reporting on Iran is limited. It is virtually impossible to give an overall picture of the situation in Rojhilat, Iran and Balochistan.
