Three HDP MPs will stand trial for social media posts over Afrin
A Turkish prosecutor issued a summary of proceedings against three Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) MPs for their social media shares over Turkey’s invasion operation on Afrin.
Ankara Prosecutor’s Office issued a summary of proceedings against Adem Geveri, Bedia Ozgokce and Lezgin Botan for their social media shares that criticized the operation on Afrin.
The prosecutor said that three MPs “made terrorist propaganda” via social media.
The prosecutor’s request was sent to Turkish Ministry of Justice. The ministry will then send the file to the presidency of the Turkish parliament.
