Speaking on Roj TV, DTK (Democratic Society Congress) Co-chair Aysel Tuðluk said that they had been told that a Turkish military helicopter had been shot down during the clashes in Dicle.
While the BDP delegation tries to reach the area in Dicle where the Turkish army has been carrying out a heavy military operation for four days, DTK Co-chair Aysel Tuðluk spoke to ROJ TV and called on people to join the march of freedom to the conflict area.
Meanwhile, BDP Bitlis MP Hüsamettin Zenderlioðlu notified of “intense military shipment to the operation area”.
On the other hand, police in the area is reported to be preparing to attack the people who have been crossing the path of military vehicles on the way to the operation area.
Among the delegation members, BDP MP Nursel Aydoðan said that the crowd was trying to prevent the passage of military vehicles by making fires on their ways.
In the meantime, the convoy moving towards the operation area was stopped and not allowed by special operations teams in Dicle district. Eventually the convoy arrived in Dicle following a number of police controls. While police authorities said that they would never allow the march as by order of Diyarbakýr Governor’s Office, a group of people passed the police barricade and continued towards the operation area.
