Türk: Constitutional guarantee is a must for Kurdish rights
Democratic Society Congress (DTK) co-chair Ahmet Türk joined a public meeting in the French city of Strasbourg where he attended the general assembly of the European Parliament on Wednesday.
Speaking about recent developments at the public meeting, Türk said Kurds should have a more active part in the new process in search for a solution to the Kurdish question.
Türk pointed out that it was a must for the Turkish state to ensure a constitutional guarantee for the rights of Kurds and to make peace with them.
DTK co-chair criticized Republican People's Party (CHP) for not siding with the right and oppressed side and intending to provoke Alewis against Kurds in the ongoing process of talks. He said the Kurdish political movement considered all ethnical and religious groups as equals in terms of rights.
He added that they will give a struggle for the development of peace and democracy without excluding any identity.
