Turkey putting wire fences on South Kurdistan border

Turkish soldiers have started to put wire fences in an area bordering South Kurdistan, located between the Beyaztepe and Düğün mountains, in Şırnak's Uludere district, on Tuesday.

Local sources have reported that wire fences in construction equipment were delivered to the mentioned region early in the morning and placed between two mountains by Turkish soldiers. The road construction in the area is also going on.

After hearing about the incident, people from the villages of Roboski and Gülyazı have marched to the border to prevent the placement of wire fences between two mountains and the road construction on the border line.

Demonstrators stopped the construction equipment and started sit-in in the area.
