Turkish Doctors' Union (TTB) has applied to the Ministry of Health in order to perform the health check of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan who on 1 July, through his brother Mehmet Öcalan, asked to be treated by an independent delegation of doctors. Öcalan had complaints of inflammation of throat, nose and mouth.

According to the reports, TTB lawyers presented the union's letter of application to the Ministry of Health on Monday. The Ministry is expected to answer the application for Kurdish leader's tretment in the coming days.
