Turkish helicopter damaged by guerrillas crashes in Igdir

One of the two Turkish helicopters damaged by the guerrilla in an action in Igdir’s Aralik district on May 1 is reported to have failed, crashing to the ground and killing its pilots.

HPG/YJA-Star guerrillas had carried out an action against the invading Turkish army along the road to the Aydinlar Outpost in Igdir’s Aralik district on May 1. 5 soldiers had been killed in the action while 2 attack helicopters had been damaged.

Local sources say one of the helicopters was heavily damaged as it was removed from ground zero, and failed a short while later, crashing to the ground and killing the two pilots in it.
