HPG/YJA-Star guerrillas had carried out an action against the invading Turkish army along the road to the Aydinlar Outpost in Igdir’s Aralik district on May 1. 5 soldiers had been killed in the action while 2 attack helicopters had been damaged.
Local sources say one of the helicopters was heavily damaged as it was removed from ground zero, and failed a short while later, crashing to the ground and killing the two pilots in it.
