Turkish police detain a number of people Iğdır

Turkish police carried out house raids in Iğdır this morning and detained many people.

After around 30 people were detained in Mardin on Tuesday, house raids took place in Iğdır this morning.

Many houses were raided and many people were taken into custody in the city center of Iğdır and the district of Aralık.

The names of those detained in the raids, for reasons not disclosed, are as follows: Yaşar Torzluk, Halil Sanan, Mehmet Kaya and Yaşar Imdat.

On Tuesday, 6 July, at least 29 people, including Peace Mothers, were detained in Mardin.

On 3 July, Kurdish religious scholars were targeted in Istanbul and at least 23 people were detained.
