Turkish soldier wounds sheperd looking for his sheep in Van

Orhan Hanay was injured as a result of the fire opened by Turkish soldiers in Çaldıran.

Orhan Hanay, who lives in the neighborhood of Dayanç (Davan) in Çaldıran, province of Van, was injured by the fire opened by Turkish soldiers.

Hanay went to the area of the military base at around 7 pm yesterday evening to search for his sheep. Hanay was injured when a soldier on the border opened fire from the tower. He was taken to the District State Hospital by his family and was discharged after his treatment.

His brother, Mustafa Hanay said: "Our sheep always stay on the border line, we go and pick them up when they don't come. Yesterday, our sheep did not come and my brother went out to look for them."
