Including two children at the ages of 15 and 16, a 70 year-old patient confined to bed and a city council member, 12 people were taken into custody last night in Kumçatý town of Þýrnak province. Detentions came following house raids by special operation teams, plain-clothes police teams and gendarmerie units.

Doors of the raided houses were broken by security forces during the operation which is reported to have been carried out within the scope of the investigation on "KCK's urban wing". Detainees are reported to have been taken to Þýrnak Security Directorate.
