The Twitter account for ANF’s Kurdish language service was taken over by hackers yesterday evening and posted news and images that our agency has not authorized in a bid to create confusion.
ANF’s Kurdish language service’s Twitter account was hacked yesterday evening and a video footage claimed to be related to the action on July 17 in Hewler, Southern Kurdistan was posted from the hacked account.
ANF has nothing to do with these images. We believe that this is a deliberate attempt by certain circles, taking into consideration among other things that there are people speaking Turkish in the video and many among Southern Kurdistan’s media have said the footage is not genuine.
We would like to stress once again, our readers and Twitter followers should know that the video footage published on the account has no relation with the ANF whatsoever.
