Two Kurdish activists go on indefinite hunger strike in Vienna

In the Austrian capital Vienna, two Kurdish activists, Şivan Ağaoğlu and Sultan Yigit have launched an indefinite hunger strike to protest the isolation of the Kurdish people’s leader, Abdullah Ocalan.

Kurdish community in Austria yesterday gathered at Westbahnhof and joined a march organized by the Kurdish Democratic Society Center.

The demonstrators chanted ‘Long live leader Apo’, ‘Freedom for political prisoners’, Leyla Guven is our will’. Then two Kurdish activists, Şivan Ağaoğlu and Sultan Yigit announced the beginning of their indefinite and non-alternating hunger strike to protest the isolation of the Kurdish people’s leader, Abdullah Ocalan.

Kurdish youth said that they will continue their actions as long as the isolation is in place.
