Turkish police carried out raids targeting members of the Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) in Antep province on Tuesday evening.
Two women named Mihriban Aslan and Hatice Özaslan were taken into custody during the house raids and an issue of the Atılım newspaper was seized.
The detainees were taken to the anti-terror department (TEM) of the police.
Mihriban Aslan told her lawyer that they had been subjected to a strip search at TEM where the two women are expected to give their statements today.
