The two-day conference organized by TZP-Kurdî at the weekend in Amed ended with the release of a final declaration which put emphasis on the indispensability of the right to receive education in mother tongue.

The conference which took place under the slogan “The freedom of the language lies in the democratic nation solution” handled the problems of the Kurdish language and its recognition as a language of education. It was attended by 250 delegates as well as by BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) Bitlis deputy Hüsamettin Zenderlioğlu and representatives of Peace Mothers Initiative, DTK (Democratic Society Congress), MEYADER, TUHAD-DER, Eğitim Sen and KURDÎ-DER .

The final declaration of the Kurdish Language Conference listed the following points agreed by the attendees of the conference;

* TZP-Kurdî sees education in mother tongue as an indispensable right and doesn't make it a matter of debate. In this respect it condemns Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's statements (in which he had said that the recognition of Kurdish as a language of education would lead to a separation in the country).

* The delegates of the conference salute the Kurdish National Conference to take place in Hewler.

* All Kurdish institutions and establishments should mobilize for the recognition of Kurdish as a language of education in the Democratic Liberation process. Bearing responsibility for the practice of works in Kurdish language training, they should have a program to provide contributions to this process.

* The delegates of the conference voice sorrow for the deaths the war in Rojava has caused.

* The delegates of the conference condemn the attitude of the EU countries because of their two-faced attitude towards the Kurdish media.

* TZP-Kurdî sees the resistance of Rojava people as the most significant step taken for the liberation of the Kurdistan territory. Taking on responsibility for mother tongue education in Rojava, it readies for the achievement of this purpose.

* TZP-Kurdî should hold discussions with all Kurdish institutions and establishments on the mother tongue education issue and prepare a new model.

* TZP-Kurdî will lead all its preparations in line with its program.

* TZP-Kurdî will perform works for the training of children and children's television.

* Besides the Kurdish linguistic lessons, TZP-Kurdî will also teach History, Literature, Geography and Culture lessons.

* TZP-Kurdî should prepare various training materials of quality for the achievement of mother-tongue education.

* All Kurdish institutions and establishments, as well as their executives, and politicians should perform their works in the Kurdish language. Delegations of the Conference will be responsible for the supervision of these works.

* Students and teachers at all schools should communicate with each other in their mother tongue.

* Simultaneous demonstrations should take place in all provinces and districts every week to voice the demands for mother tongue education.

* Mass demos should take place everywhere on 16 September (the beginning of the school year).

* TZP-Kurdî and all Kurdish establishments should use the Kurmanci and Kirmanckî dialects, introducing positive discrimination to the latter one.

* All Kurdish establishments should reject the institutions that perform their language works in line with the mindset and interests of the state.

* All Kurdish municipalies should open kindergartens providing education in mother language.

* All executives and deputies nominated as a candidate for local and general elections should certainly know their mother language very well.

* All executives and workers of Kurdish municipalities should use their mother tongue in the daily life and develop projects and works on the mother tongue issue.

* TZP-Kurdî should perform its works with the mindset that enables women's equal participation in all areas of life.
