University student attacked by fascist in Muðla

Ýzzet Fýrathan who was among the 44 Kurdish students detained in Muðla last Thursday, was attacked by fascists after his release. He is under intensive care as his father reported him to be in a coma. The attacks on Kurdish students which began four days ago in Muðla still have not come to an end. 42 of the 44 detained students were set free today and went to the BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) office. Among them was Izzet Fýrathan who was attacked by a fascist group on his way home. Fýrathan suffered serious injuries and was taken to the casualties service. He is still receiving treatment for his injuries.

Nearly 60 students are waiting at the hospital. There is no police in sight. BDP Bodrum County Chairman said that a group of students carrying Turkish flags organised a convoy of 10 cars. “We informed the police about the situation but didn’t get any response. We are worried that a serious provocation act could be underway.”
