International Anti-ISIS Coalition commander Lieutenant General Stephen Townsend stated that he expected Kurdish participation in the operation to liberate the city of Raqqa from ISIS occupation.
International Coalition for Operation Inherent Resolve commander Lieutenant General Stephen Townsend said in a press briefing on Wednesday that: "I expect Kurds will participate in the operation in one form or fashion. They are local Syrian Kurds who will participate”
The Lieutenant General added that they are engaged in discussions with Turks on how they might participate in the liberation of Raqqa.
