A vigil for women prisoners in Muş E Type Prison ended this morning. The vigil has been organized to support the prisoners' struggle against the repression they are subjected to in the jail.

All night the people who joined the vigil sang songs and chanted slogans around fires.

The women prisoners still in the hospital after the protest they organized inside the prison (men guards were sent in the wing) have been named as : Mukaddes Çelik, Zeliha Belge, Yüksel Yaşar, Leyla Songur, Ayşe Ulaş, Seyran Demir, Naime Tuci, Necibe Armi and Gurbet Çakar.

TUHAD-DER Muş president Ömer Özün read a press release asking the repression and violence against women in the prison to end.
