As a results of raids at the houses of BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) administrators and members in Maltepe Province, police detained 10 people including BDP Provincial Chairman Besim Yýlmaz.

Istanbul Police Department Anti-Terror Branch police raided the houses of BDP members in Gülsuyu District of Maltepe Province in the morning hours. BDP Maltepe Provincial Chairman Besim Yýlmaz, provincial administrators Yeter Kim, Maþallah Yaðan and DYG (Democratic Patriotic Youth Organization) members Mahmut Gücin, Nihat Budak, Turgay Budak, Turgay Tokur and Kamil whose surname was not reported. Many computer cases and some documents of BDP were seized during the raids. 8 detainees, whose detention reason was not informed, were reported taken to police department.
