The Turkish media announced today that “5 out of 7 PKK members were killed” in clashes with state forces in the Köyceğiz district of Muğla.

7 people had been detained yesterday in the Seydikemer district on allegations of being PKK members, and were stripped naked in front of cameras. The detainees also had their hands tied behind their backs.

Local sources say there have been no clashes in the area.

The developments of the last 2 days beg the question: Was the incident made out to look like a clash, and were the detainees executed by state forces?
