Witnesses tell of Cizre terror police attack

Following the detention of tens of people as a result of a police raid on the BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) building in Cizre town of Sirnak, party administrators laid bare the police violence on the party and the pieces of the gas bombs thrown by police. Speaking here, BDP Sýrnak District Chair Abit Ýke said; "Everything in front of eyes, they threw hundreds of gas bombs and attacked with pressure water”.

26 people were detained and many got wounded during the police intervention in the march in Cizre which was planned for giving support to Kurdish politicians under the KCK case. Making a statement about the innumerable gas bombs thrown on the BDP district building and the Democratic Solution Tent, BDP Sýrnak District Chair Abit Ýke said the followings; "As you all see, everything is in front of your eyes. They messed the party building up, threw hundreds of gas bombs, attacked with water cannons and detained our friends”.

Noting that the attack of AKP police on the people of Botan was lawless, Ike said that their 20 friends got wounded and 26 were detained. Ike added; “They attacked the BDP building and the solution tent. The cruelty applied on us here yesterday is indeed appalling”.

Calling on all Cizre citizens to respond to these issues and protect their party, Ike said; “We will continue our struggle against oppressions. I call the whole Cizre to protect their party and institutions. The pictures you took here lay bare the violence, cruelty and everything exposed on us”.
