New house raids have been carried out by police early this morning in Diyarbakýr and Van. It is been reported that many people have already been taken into custody. Among them is Yeniþehir mayor assistant, Güler Menteþ. Also journalist Adil Harmancý has been taken into custody.

MEYA-DER president Feyza Alýnbay has been detained after his house was searched by police.

At the samen time, around 5 am this morning another house in Ergani has been searched.

It is understood that Ergani council member Cavidan Yalman, BDP former chair Kadri Karakaþ and Sahil Karayel have been detained after their houses were searched.

In Van four people have been taken into custody between last night and this morning. Last night the Book Cafè Þilan Kitap Cafe has been searched by police looking for "illegal books".
