British Kurdish People's Assembly calls on people to join actions for Öcalan

The British Kurdish People's Assembly issued a call to all revolutionary, democratic, patriotic, left and socialist forces to join the actions and activities to mark the anniversary of the 15 February conspiracy.

The British Kurdish People's Assembly said in a statement that this year marks the 22nd anniversary of the 15 February International Conspiracy against Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and added that "it is time to ensure freedom by overthrowing the AKP-MHP fascism."

The British Kurdish People's Assembly once again condemned all the sovereign forces and their supporters who supported the 15 February conspiracy. “The conspiracy that started on 9 October – said the statement - and ended with the capture of our leadership on 15 February carried out by the forces of capitalist modernity in disregard of international law. The aim of this conspiracy was to prevent the Kurdish freedom movement that developed in the Middle East in the last quarter of the 20th century, to neutralize it and to darken the future of our people.”

The People's Assembly also drew attention to the fact that both the resistance of the Kurdish people was carried out at a great price during the conspiracy process and the democratic, egalitarian and libertarian paradigm developed by Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan in Imralı prevented the forces carrying out the conspiracy from achieving their goals.

The statement added that Öcalan, with his great resistance in Imrali, today “offers the peoples of the Middle East a democratic, gender equality and ecological society paradigm.”

The statement called “everyone to join the letter-sending action in front of Harringey Post Office tomorrow, Saturday, as well as the central march in London on 13 February.”
