Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Mersin Provincial executive Songül Eriş was detained after her house was raided by order of Mersin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

It was stated that while the reason for detention of Eriş, who was taken to the Provincial Security Directorate, could not be learned, there was a 24-hour lawyer restriction.

With Eriş, the number of people detained in the city since 13 February has increased to 6.
