The 15 February 1999 international conspiracy against Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan was protested in Karlstad, Sweden.

Speaking at the action promoted by NCDK, Memed Bazidi said: "President Apo was handed over to the Turkish Republic because he represented an obstacle for the imperialists and their collaborators.”

Other speakers emphasized that the conspirators could not achieve their goals. "Leader Apo and the people of Kurdistan united and gave the necessary answer to the conspirators. Leader Apo became the hope of great liberation with the ideological and political initiatives he proposes for the Middle East and all peoples.”
