As part of the political genocide operations in 9 provinces centering Amed, the Yeni Yasam Newspaper Communication Office was raided by the police, who broke down the office doors early in the morning when nobody was there and conducted a search in the offices, confiscating computers and hard drives.

Yeni Yasam distributors Hayat Ozmez and Savas Aslan’s homes were raided as well, and the two have been detained.

Peace Mothers member Hawa Kiran’s home was also raided by the police, who conducted a search and detained another Peace Mothers member Songul Tamris.
