Young activists in Basel and Hamburg demand freedom for Öcalan

Young activists in Basel and Hamburg joined the "banner and posters campaign" organised to demand freedom of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The protests organized by Kurdish youth living in Europe to expose the aggravated isolation imposed on Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan continue.

Young activists of Jinên Ciwanên Têkoşer and Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger and Ronahi Women's Council hung banners on overpasses and bridges in Basel, Switzerland.

Banners that read "Isolation Durchbrechen" (Break the Isolation) and "Freiheit für Öcalan" (Freedom for Öcalan) in German were hung.

HAMBURG

In Hamburg, Kurdish youth also continue their protests demanding freedom for Kurdish people's leader Öcalan.

Banners with the words "Freedom for Öcalan, status for Kurdistan" were opened in busy places throughout the city.

The activities will continue for a week.
