Young activists march from Düsseldorf to Leverkusen on 4th day of Long March

Today, the Long March from Essen to Aachen promoted by Kurdish and international youth with the slogan "Ji bo azadiya Rêber Apo werin cenga azadiyê" will march from Hildener Strasse Düsseldorf to Leverkusen Bahnhof.

On Tuesday, the 3rd day of the march, young people walked 16km from Düsseldorf airport to the center of the city.

Young people organized an event in the evening at the Düsseldorf Democratic Kurdish Community Center to commemorate the martyrs who joined the guerrillas from Europe.

Pictures of Baran Mawa, Tijda Ekecik, Didar Harûn, Seher Deniz, Delal Nurhak, Berjin Zenda, Senar Zagros, Lecwan Munzur and Ali Çiçek, who were killed on different dates, were exhibited in the centre.

The commemoration, which started with a minute’s silence in memory of the Martyrs of the Kurdistan Revolution, continued with speeches on the importance of the role of youth in the process of the war of existence and nonexistence.

Ayten Sünger, mother of Martyr Lecwan Munzur, spoke about her son as well as martyrs Delal Nurhak and Zîlan Qamişlo.

In the speech made on behalf of the Democratic Kurdish Community Center, activists said that the Long March was a march towards victory.
