Young people in London close Tower Bridge demanding freedom for Abdullah Öcalan

Young people in London closed Tower Bridge to traffic, demanding the freedom of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.

As part of the "Werin Cenga Azadiyê" campaign, members of Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger (TCŞ) and Jinên Ciwan ên Têkoşer (TekoJIN) organised a march demanding freedom for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan in London.

Kurds as well as internationalist young people from Malaysia, Spain and Venezuela attended the march in the city center to mark the birthday of the Kurdish people’s leader.

The young people, waving banners, posters and PKK flags and chanting slogans such as "Freedom for Leader Öcalan", colored their protest by lighting green, yellow and red torches.

Young people then marched on Tower Bridge and carried out an act of civil disobedience. The police warned the young people who blocked the bridge road to transportation.
