Young people demonstrating against the conspiracy which ended with the capture of Kurdish leader Ocalan in 1999 clashed with police.

Coming together in Ova Street of Seyhan/Adana, young people were demonstrating against the arrest of Ocalan, twelve years ago. Demonstrators held a march chanting slogans “Be Serok jiyan nabe”, “Apoists are everywhere, don’t look for them on mountains”.

After a while the march was intervened by police with pressure water, tanks and scorpions which young people responded with molotov cocktails, stones and fireworks. While the conflict between youth and police continued on the street for some time three action force policemen got wounded on various parts due to the stones and molotov cocktails thrown. Wounded policemen were taken to hospital while the vehicles could not enter the neighborhood for some time. The action ended when youngsters dispersed. The police blockaded the neighborhood for a while and then left the neighborhood.
