It was reported that some activists were detained for stoning the Iranian Embassy during the demonstration made in Hewler to protest the executions in Iran.

According to ANF Kurdish service, a number of people were detained on grounds of stoning the Iranian Embassy during the demonstration staged on 29 January against the execution of the Kurdish youngster Hüseyin Xizri by the Iranian regime. Kurdistan Democratic Solution Party (PÇDK) member Mam Hejar is reported to be among the detainees whose number is not notified.

The demonstration was supported by tens of civil society organizations and opposition parties. The activist rained stones to Iranian Embassy after the press release of the demonstration which was staged at the weekend to protest against the execution of Kurdish political prisoners.
