Youth in Basel march against Turkish fascism

Activists condemned Turkish fascism and called for a joint struggle against fascism.

Tevgera Ciwanên Shoreshger (Revolutionary Youth Movement) and Jinên Ciwan ên Têkoşer (Struggling Young Women) promoted an action in Basel last night.

Activists in the march condemned the Turkish state's invasion and genocide attacks against Kurdistan and demanded freedom for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The action was part of the "Bi Hev Re Serhildan" (Rebellion Together) initiative launched by youth organizations a while ago.

A large banner reading "Bi Hev Re Serhildan" was also unfurled during the protest.

During the march, slogans were chanted to support for the Cenga Heftanîn resistance against the Turkish invasion attacks and the Rojava revolution.

Some 100 young people joined the march, which was supported by the Basel Rojava Committee, RJB and Antifa.
