YPG (People's Protection Units) and peshmerga forces have launched a joint operation against ISIS gangs in Rabia town of Mosul on Tuesday.

In a statement released today, YPG Press Centre reported that YPG forces launched an expansive attack on the town from the direction of the Til Kocer border gate while peshmerga forces joined the offensive attacking from the northwestern side early this morning.

YPG Press Centre said that the operation coordinated by YPG and peshmerga forces from their own areas is continuing.

HPG (People's Defence Forces) guerrillas and peshmerga forces have also launched a joint operation against ISIS gangs in Kirkuk early Tuesday morning.

The joint operation in an area between the town of Daquq and the city of Kirkuk is continuing and witnessing fierce clashes, according to the initial reports coming through.
