Violent clashes between YPG/YPJ (People's/Women's Defence Units) fighters and ISIS gangs in the Kobanê town of West Kurdistan, Rojava, are continuing.

Hand-to-hand fighting on the southern and eastern fronts of the town has been going on since Tuesday night.

35 gang members were killed in an action in which YPG fighters targeted a group of gang militants as they entered a hospital building on the Aleppo road late yesterday.

According to the reports coming through, fighting in Kobanê continues in the Kaniya Kurda region in the east, in the Mektelê neighborhood in the southeast and in the 48. Street region in the south.

No information is available yet as to the outcomes of the ongoing fighting, nor of the aerial strikes carried out by coalition forces in the south and east of the town.

Local sources say though that the most recent airstrikes have been more effective than the previous ones.
