The villages of Zormixar and Ziyaret, which are of strategic importance, have been liberated by YPG/YPJ forces. The village of Zormixar, on hills 40 kilometres to the west of Kobanê, is of strategic importance overlooking the town of Jarablus. Fierce clashes took place before the village was cleansed of ISIS gangs. With the liberation of Zormixar and the nearby Qesra Ehmed Munir, the YPG/YPJ forces have now reached the river Euphrates.
