YPG/SDF fighters in Raqqa operation wish a happy Newroz to all peoples

Fighters in the Raqqa operation stated that they will not stop until they eradicate ISIS gangs, and wished a happy Newroz to their people.

YPG (People's Defense Units) and SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) fighters partaking in the Operation Wrath of Euphrates to liberate Raqqa spoke to ANF regarding their military campaign and upcoming Newroz, Kurdish New Year.

YPG fighter Nemrud stated that their advance towards the ISIS-occupied Raqqa city continues at full force and locals welcome them with open arms in the areas they liberate during the course of the campaign. Nemrud wished a happy Newroz for everyone.

Another YPG fighter Egit Serêkaniye said: "We captured very strategic locations from the gangs in Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor territory, in addition to several villages at the banks of the Euphrates. Our campaign continues at full force and with more successes every day. We congratulate all our people's Newroz and we present this Raqqa campaign to all our martyrs."

YPG fighter Serhat stressed that their advance towards Raqqa continues with great sacrifice and commitment, noting that they got closer to the Deir ez-Zor region.

Serhat wished a happy Newroz to Christian, Assyrian and all other peoples in Syria, adding; "I hope we will celebrate next year's Newroz all together in peace. We will continue our fight until we eradicate the gangs all across Syria."

Speaking after, SDF fighter Abu Heya said: "We have liberated many areas so far as we make further advances towards the Raqqa city. We will fight an liberate anywhere under the occupation of the gangs. We thank the YPG, YPJ, asayish forces and everyone that takes up arms and fights against these gangs."

Another SDF fighter Demhat Hesekê said: "We are in the Jazera village at the moment. We came here to liberate our people. Our comrades are in good morale. We have taken many villages and pushed the gangs our of these areas in our campaign. We will continue to advance and liberate more areas. We will be hard after the ISIS gangs wherever they go on Syrian soil, and we will not stop until we bring them to an end."
