In a statement about yesterday's fighting in Kobanê town of West Kurdistan, Rojava, YPG (People's Protection Units) Press Centre reported that the attacks of ISIS gangs to occupy the town continued on the 71st day.

The statement said that the ISIS gangs that have been forced to retreat to defense position after being inflicted severe blows by YPG/YPJ fighters are also being targeted by offensives.

According to the YPG Press Centre, ISIS gangs are now completely in a defensive position on the eastern front after the attacks of the night before which caused them heavy casualties. Short-time battle raged out here last night, while the results of clashes couldn't be made clear.

YPG Press Centre said that on the southern front YPG units carried out an offensive against the positions occupied by the gangs.

YPG forces advanced further as four more locations were liberated and the gangs were repulsed from this area as result of the offensive. 7 gang members were killed and arms belonging to them were seized in this area.
