On the fifth day of the security forces' operation in Hol Camp, 23 ISIS suspects have been arrested and 23 tents used by ISIS as "courts" and training centres have been dismantled.

Since 25 August, a security operation has been taking place in Hol Camp near the northern Syrian cantonal capital of Hesekê. In the course of the ongoing operation, the security forces were able to seize large quantities of logistics from the so-called Islamic State (ISIS). The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria said in a press statement on the fifth day of the operation that 23 ISIS suspects were arrested. At the same time, 23 tents used by ISIS as Sharia courts, torture centres and training facilities were dismantled. The security forces also discovered more ISIS tunnel facilities. In addition, a hidden computer, a tablet and eight phones were seized. Since the beginning of the operation, 71 people have been arrested.

Ammunition and torture devices found

On the sixth day of the operation, ammunition for M-16 assault rifles was discovered. Torture tools such as chain whips and knives were also discovered in a tent. The torture tools were well hidden. The occupants of the tent were arrested.

ISIS stronghold Hol

Thousands of members of ISIS jihadists are interned in Hol Camp. ISIS is trying to make the camp its new capital and has established a terror regime from underground within the camp.

Since the beginning of the year, at least 44 people, including 14 women and children, have been killed and others injured in Hol Camp. This terror mainly comes from the so-called ISIS religious police for women and the ISIS youth organisation "Cubs of the Caliphate" and is directed against people who do not live according to ISIS standards. Most of the people who survived assassination attempts are Iraqi refugees and ISIS defectors.
